Power Engineer. To be or not to be?

Power Engineer. To be or not to be?What awaits you when getting an energy education

In order to become an energy engineer, one must spend five years in the walls of his native university. If you do not know who you want to be in the future, or your parents cannot decide on the choice of your profession.

I want to give some advice. Do not panic at economists, programmers, and others of this kind. There are not so many energy faculties in our big country, economists at every turn.

I do not attract you to enter the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, for example, the construction department, which is also rare and in demand. It's just that I have no direct relationship to construction.

And now, if you still decide to choose this faculty, then I will tell you a little how the training in this specialty is going. After you have submitted your documents and entered, two years of torment will begin, a bunch of useless subjects such as the Russian language, which we studied from the first grade, chemistry, useless in our specialty, well, etc. etc. Power Engineer. To be or not to be?In a word, useful is not enough! But as soon as you go to the third year, everything will change dramatically, all subjects touch on the delicate topic of immense energy.

Interest will certainly appear, even if not in the third, but as in my fourth year. Well, after graduation, you will find work in a network company, a power plant, a substation.

"To be it or not to be!" The answer is simple: go wherever you want! And then you will reproach yourself like me! Want to be an economist? Learn to be an economist! Think something pulling you where would be difficult? Do not be afraid! But it is interesting to you! Do not go where it is easier, or where they pay more! Do you want to program, but are afraid to study, thinking that it will be difficult, and think to go where it is easier? That’s all nonsense! Once again I say - go there where you are drawn! Do not repeat my mistake, now I am tormented every day and it becomes VERY hard on my soul at the thought that I am "not there"!
