Track lights and their use

Despite the fact that track lights are an innovation, they have already gained popularity thanks to a number of undeniable advantages compared to conventional ceiling lights. So, track LED lamps are already widely used for decoration of offices, houses, industrial workplaces, shopping centers, etc. Their aesthetic appearance makes it easy to fit such lamps into any interior with the ability to adjust the contrast and gradation of light.

The track system of luminaires is formed by an aluminum busbar or a U-shaped conductor with copper busbars running along it inside it, insulated from each other.

Three-phase solutions have several advantages, especially when it comes to connecting a large number of lighting devices to the network at once. In a three-phase system, the load is distributed in phases evenly, and control is carried out only by turning the handle of the power switch.

Track lighting systems are fastened by means of aluminum brackets, moved along the busbar to the place of their fixation with a screw. Busbar can be installed on cables in case the ceiling is high. If the room has a low ceiling, then the busbar trunking can be fixed directly to the ceiling surface through special holes. It is recommended to fix the busbar to the ceiling with a distance between the fixtures of 1 meter.

To rotate tracks and connect them to each other, use T, X, and G - shaped connectors. Such a lighting system includes track lights, a power supply unit, a current lead, suspension devices, and connecting elements.

The design can be fixed at the required height, then you can change or add track lights, and also adjust their position, turn on the busbar and, if necessary, turn off one or in groups.

Track luminaires can be installed on one busbar, which differ not only in appearance, shape and design, but also in technical characteristics: power, type of lamp reflector, light distribution and other parameters.

As mentioned above, track lights differ in power and type of lamp, and the most common today are LED and halogen lamps, which are small mobile searchlights that can fill the space with directional or diffused light. Often these devices have a degree of protection IP20, because they are usually installed in rooms with a favorable external environment.

LED and halogen lamps are suitable as light sources with high color rendering index, this helps to emphasize all the advantages of illuminated objects, for this very reason, track lights of these types are so popular in commercial premises and in exhibition halls. Thanks to the swivel bracket, the luminous flux can be directed in the desired direction.

In addition, the luminaires are environmentally friendly, they do not contain mercury, and during operation they make no noise, the intensity of their luminous flux reaches 95%, while there are no electromagnetic radiation and excess heat output.
