Infrared heaters

Infrared heatersThe article talks about infrared heaters, which are an additional, and in some cases, the main source of heat to the room in the cold season.

The problem of insufficient heating of rooms by standard means of heating has always existed and remains relevant today, so new types and types of heaters are constantly being developed that can provide comfortable conditions for living and working.

Today, one of the best and most promising types of heaters is infrared. Most important advantage infrared heaters in front of other types of heaters - this is a high safety in terms of the occurrence of fire. An infrared heater is safe precisely because it raises the temperature in a completely different way than other heaters.

Infrared heatersIts distinctive feature is that the infrared heater does not directly heat the air. All he does is radiate infrared waveswhich, being absorbed by surrounding objects, heat them. But already from heated objects, heat is transferred to the air in the room.

Also, users of traditional heaters will be pleasantly surprised by its noiseless operation. You can’t even tell by the sound whether it works or is turned off, but you will feel the effect in a couple of minutes after turning it on, and not in an hour, as with standard heaters.

Infrared heatersNot determine that the room is a heater, and smell. As already mentioned, it does not heat the air directly, which means it does not raise dust particles, which often cause an unpleasant odor.

The disadvantages of infrared heaters are extremely few. Probably the most tangible minus of the infrared heater is that when the heater is located in close proximity to people, it can create discomfort due to its excessive heat, so it is recommended to place it away from the sofa and desk.

If you have already bought an infrared heater, then the main thing now is to position it correctly. This is absolutely not difficult, however, given the fact that the initial task of such a heater is to transfer heat to surrounding objects, it is obvious that it should be located in a place with a maximum viewing angle.

To install an infrared heater, you should not even prepare a place on the floor, since almost all models have the option of placing on the wall or ceiling, and the stylish design of the heater will be a great addition to any interior.

Infrared heatersThere are two types of infrared heaters: gas and electric. The former are powered by liquefied gas and are designed to heat large areas and therefore are not suitable as a heat source for ordinary residential premises.

The second (electric) are more common and depending on the power are selected with a calculation of 1 kW per 10-12 m2 of the room area, provided that the heater is used as an additional heat source. If infrared heaters are the only heat sources, then the selection is based on the calculation of 1 kW per 4-8 m2 area, depending on the type of room. The pluses of this device can be talked about for a very long time, but this is a waste of time, because by purchasing an infrared heater, you can see for yourself.
